The horror movie will screen at Vox Cinemas, Mall of the Emirates from August 24

Horror movie fans, it’s time to grab some popcorn and tune into Michael O’Shea’s chilling debut feature, The Transfiguration, which comes to DIFF365@VOX next week.
The thriller was initially screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival, and was described as a ‘gripping’ and a ‘disturbing horror movie’ by critics, comparing it to the sleeper hit Get Out, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this year.
Set in New York City, Eric Ruffin plays a troubled teen who is fascinated by vampire lore; but things come to a head when he starts blurring fantasy with reality. The Transfiguration also stars Chloe Levine.
The film will screen at cinema 9 (a dedicated theatre for the initiative), Mall of the Emirates from August 24 until September 6. Tickets are available on the Vox Cinemas website.
DIFF 365@VOX is a year-round Dubai International Film Festival initiative.
