Traditional barefoot race to take place on Saturday

Dubai: The Emirates Travellers Club is hosting a cultural event, where people can participate in a barefoot walking race on the hot desert sand, on August 27.

The race will take place in the Lahbab area from 1pm to sunset.

The challenge, called ‘Rmdha’, which is Arabic for ‘hot sand’, aims to gather as many Emiratis and expats as possible to enjoy a full day of traditional Emirati activities. The winner of the race will take home an appreciation letter signed by the challenge committee.
