Learn to cook in Dubai, Abu Dhabi

Looking to expand your culinary repertoire? We’ve found two new locations to learn more about cooking. Al Fanr, the modern European, Indian and Arabic restaurant at Manarat Al Saadiyat on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi has launched monthly cooking classes with executive head chef Uday Nathan. With sessions aimed at children and adults, the classes include exploration of the restaurant’s kitchen garden and a Fanr apron. Children’s classes (Dh150) are October 22, November 5 and December 10; adult classes (Dh175) are October 29, November 26 and December 17, all from 4pm; call 02-6575888.

In Dubai, Catch, the seafood-focused restaurant at the Fairmont on Shaikh Zayed Road has class with chef Bobby Griffing on October 24 (Dh500 per person), noon-2pm, showcasing king crab dishes.
