A chic, relaxing ambience, delightful food and prompt but discreet service: that would sum up the iftar at The Address Dubai Marina Hotel.
The buffet offers the perfect blend of health and taste, with a selection of dates spread on the table setting the pace. There's the ever popular harira soup to start with (or an option of lentil soup if you are not so fond of the famous offering from Morocco), following which you amble across to the salad and starters station. Along with the usual serving of cheese, fattoush, tabouleh and other Levantine favourites, don't forget to add a generous helping of the muhammara, a hot pepper dip originally from Syria.
The live cooking station serves a selection of shawarmas made to order, apart from fresh fatayers in every conceivable variety. The main courses offer a great mix of Emirati and regional cuisine with a twist, such as the fish machbouse, a fabulous Mahshi and a pasta of the day.
Of course no iftar (or any meal) can be complete without a couple of visits to the dessert station. Along with katayefs and kunafas of varied sizes and sweetness, and the unforgettable umm ali, you can gratify your sweet tooth with traditional Arabic favourites such as kolaj and Ach Al Saraya.
