Considered by many to be one of Dubai’s best brunches, Saffron at Atlantis, The Palm, doesn’t disappoint with a superb selection of global dishes. This brunch has cooking stations with delicious choices from British fish and chips to mouth-watering sushi and award-winning Asian cuisine.

There is an impressive variety and quality of seafood — the crab legs are some of the finest we’ve ever tasted and portions were generous.

If seafood isn’t your thing, the melt-in-your-mouth herb-crusted lamb rack will blow your mind. Served with root veg and roast potatoes you’ll be going up for seconds, and thirds, in no time.

For dessert you’re spoilt for choice with a wide selection of cheesecakes, pancakes and a chocolate fountain station. We were so full after desert there was little room to try the staggering selection of cheeses.

The entertainment energy is top notch – a group of dancers with bags of energy rubs off on the diners and really gets the party going. A conga line snaked around the entire restaurant during our visit and the DJ played a variety of music, which had every table on their feet.

We were particularly impressed with the staff towards the end of the brunch that allowed us to finish our beverages in good time, rather than being rushed out of the restaurant.

The experience is ideal for those looking to make the most of the selection of beverages and party on through the night – you can get a free shuttle bus to the next venue, but it’s also not too loud that it’d put you off from taking your parents along if they’re visiting. In truth, whoever you take with you is likely to enjoy the day out.

We loved the Atlantis holiday vibe.

We hated that there’s not enough time to try everything. We’ll be going back just for the cheese station.

Verdict From partying with friends or showing off what brunches are all about to visitors, Saffron suits all. Details Dh535, 12.30pm-4pm; for 21 years and above
