Exclusive with Sreekumar Pillai, Founder & General Manager, FACTS Computer Software House
FACTS was founded in 2002 during a pivotal time in the UAE’s digital evolution, particularly in the wake of the Y2K transition. While many businesses in the region were embracing digital transformation, they struggled to find cost-effective, customisable ERP solutions tailored to the unique nuances of local operations. Global ERP platforms were often prohibitively expensive and lacked the regional adaptability that businesses in the UAE required.
We recognised this gap and launched FACTS to deliver enterprise-grade, reliable, and adaptable ERP solutions at an accessible price point. Our solutions were designed to serve both decision-makers and everyday users with equal efficiency. Starting with a small team and a handful of visionary clients, we focused on building long-term partnerships through tailored implementations.
Today, FACTS has grown into a leading ERP provider in the region, with over 350 successful deployments across industries. Our software is VAT-compliant, FTA-accredited, and known for its deep customisation capabilities across sectors like manufacturing, trading, healthcare, and contracting. Local support and a strong customer-centric ethos remain our key differentiators.
At FACTS, adaptability is built into our DNA. We consistently align our ERP systems with the UAE’s dynamic regulatory and operational landscape. From WPS and Mirsal to VAT, Tatmeen, Clinical Costing, Corporate Tax, and e-Invoicing, we ensure our platform remains compliant, relevant, and ahead of the curve.
We’ve embraced modern technologies like cloud deployment, mobile-first design, and Progressive Web Apps (PWA) through tools like Facts Bud-E, enabling businesses to stay connected and efficient while on the move.
By actively engaging clients through continuous feedback and industry workshops, we stay attuned to their evolving requirements. This helps us roll out timely, modular updates — whether it’s AI-powered analytics, advanced inventory automation, warehouse optimisation, or HRMS enhancements. These innovations help our clients remain competitive in a rapidly changing business environment.
ERP adoption often comes with understandable apprehensions: fear of disruption, uncertainty around ROI, and the complexity of change. The most frequent challenges we observe include:
● Resistance to change among users
● Poorly mapped business processes
● Concerns around data migration and continuity
At FACTS, we address these head-on with a personalised, human-centred approach. Our onboarding is thorough yet simplified, backed by hands-on training, process clarity, and a dedicated implementation team stationed at the client’s site. We take the time to explain the “why” behind every step, building trust and transparency.
More than a software vendor, we act as a long-term partner offering post-implementation support, process refinement, and scalable customizations aligned with each client’s future roadmap.
Our strength lies in building industry-specific ERP modules grounded in real-world operational needs. Solutions like FactsBUILD (contracting), FactsWMS (warehouse management), and FactsKORLAN (for the fruit and vegetable trade) were all developed in close collaboration with clients in those sectors.
We begin every engagement by understanding the client’s workflow and aligning our solution with industry-standard operating procedures (SOPs). Our modular architecture ensures flexibility and scalability while keeping the user experience intuitive and accessible.
This tailored, collaborative approach is why many of our clients have remained with us for over two decades evolving alongside the software as their businesses grow.
Looking forward, my strategic priorities for FACTS are:
1. Ensuring robust regulatory compliance – using technology as a tool for governance and transparency.
2. Leveraging AI and data analytics – to empower smarter decision-making and optimize business performance.
3. Enhancing financial integrations – including open banking and fintech connectivity, to drive automation and real-time insights
We’re also heavily investing in talent development, as our people are the foundation of our success. Whether through providing top-tier local support or pioneering AI-enabled ERP experiences, our mission remains clear: to help UAE businesses operate with greater agility, intelligence, and value for money.
