Are you interested in writing short stories? Write to Win 2007 is the first writing competition organised by the University of Wollongong Dubai's student club Connexionz for UAE high school and university students.
It is being held in association with the Department of Student Services and Programmes in Dubai Knowledge Village.
Competition guidelines
- Write a short story of your choice;
- Stories should be creative, original and well-written;
- The word limit is 1,500-2,500 words.
Who can join?
High school and university students in the UAE.
Judging criteria
Entries will be judged based on:
- Short story-telling skills used in writing the story;
- The command of the English language;
- And the way the writer presents the story.
Prizes
- Three winners will be named Top Famous Writers.
- A Most Popular Author prize will be given away based on an online poll conducted by Connexionx.com. The writers can vote for themselves.
- The first three winners will receive iPods.
- All the winners will receive trophies, certificates and two movie tickets.
- The winners will be awarded on September 13 at a grand awards ceremony.

August 25.
