Calling all Bollywood fans in Dubai: It’s time to dust your dancing shoes and polish your skills because Ranbir Kapoor has just extended a challenge.
The Yeh Jawaani Hai Dewaani star will be looking for the perfect dance partner when he makes an appearance at Dubai’s Oasis Centre mall after 7pm on Thursday.
“Ranbir Kapoor is planning to make his entry on stage with his song Balam Pichkari from Yeh Jawaani … He is on the lookout for a boy or a girl to dance along to that number. So you need to stand out,” said organiser Rashid Saeed, managing director of Essar Events.
Lung power often dictates who gets to rub shoulders with Bollywood stars. But tomorrow, a combination of skills and vocal prowess might help.
Kapoor is in town to promote his romantic comedy in which he stars opposite his ex-flame Deepika Padukone.
Unfortunately, Padukone won’t be a part of the Dubai press junket since she’s busy shooting for director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic Ram Leela.
However, his other co-stars, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapoor, are a part of Kapoor’s mission to promote the romantic comedy in the UAE.
As always, they have a packed schedule filled with press interactions, a mall visit and private dinner appearances.
