Rania Al Hussaini has the details
Dow Jones Newswires is offering a training programme for those specialising in finance journalism. The programme is open to all media organisations in the country.
The launch of the programme is an acknowledgement of the growth of the financial sector in the Middle East. Notes spoke to Marcus Wright, senior editor, Dow Jones Newswires.
Could you elaborate on this training programme?
Training courses vary from economics courses, company courses and market courses, which all include various subjects of interest.
Who is eligible to join this programme?
Any reporter in the finance field, or whose specialty is business, economics and finance can join.
How do they apply?
The newspapers, organisations, magazines, television/radio stations and websites that are interested in this programme should approach us, decide upon the nature of training and the courses. Then their employees - experts, and/or reporters - will start the training programme.
Where will the training take place?
This training programme will take place in London. However, if the organisation recommends that the programme take place in their own region and we have reached an agreement on that, this could happen.
What is the duration of the programme?
At least two to three days, and because of the good results, we are getting responses from organisations asking us to increase their training duration.
