The Deathly Hallows Are Here

(Spoiler warning: The Harry Potter blog will be updated several times a day until the book is completed and will contain the major dramatic points in the plot.)

Almost two-thirds of the way through and I'm amazed that Rowling has managed to keep the plot going at such a feverish pace.

And the title of the book is finally beginning to make sense. (Although, since starting the book, I can honestly say I didn't once think about the meaning of the term Deathly Hallows until it actually popped up in the narrative.)

But the quest for the Deathly Hallows is starting to eclipse the hunt for the Horcruxes in Harry's mind. It seems like Harry needs to destroy Voldemort by adopting a two-pronged attack - weakening the Dark Lord by destroying the Horcruxes, and strengthening himself by acquiring the Deathly Hallows.

But how close to achieving his goal is he? Three bits of Voldemort's soul have already been destroyed and Harry believes he has one (possibly two) of the three Deathly Hallows already…I can't wait to read on.
