Switch and watch
Two of the most popular stars of their generation, products of celebrity search programmes from rival networks, are about to make the big switch.
Hero Angeles (above), the first winner of ABS CBN's Star Circle Quest, is set to sign a contract with rival TV station GMA.
Meanwhile, Jennylyn Mercado, who was the first Ultimate Survivor of GMA's Starstruck search, is reportedly considering jumping over the fence to the competing station after being sidelined by her home studio for quite a substantial period.
It was pretty obvious Jennylyn was caught in the middle of a crossfire between her manager Becky Aguila and GMA, who fought bitterly about Angel Locsin's transfer to the Kapamilya network.
Will Jen be making the big switch? That's going to be another controversial issue should it happen in February 2008, when her contract with the Kapuso station expires.
