Over 5,000 people stormed the Dubai Tennis Stadium on Friday to take part in the Showdown of The Champions.

The star-studded event saw Filipino singers Erik Santos, Rachel Ann Go, Frenchie Dy, Sheryn Regis and Christian Bautista welcoming the crowd with Queen's song We Are The Champions.

Rachel Ann Go enthralled the audience with her hit song Don't Cry Out Loud and a duet with Christian Bautista.

When Christian took the stage, fans screamed as he performed his platinum hits, The Way You Look At Me and Hands to Heaven.

After the song Respect, Frenchie Dy raised the tempo with What You Want and was joined by the UIPS dancers.

This was followed by Sheryn Regis and a duet with the Prince of Pop Erik Santos.

Crowds joined in the fun as they did the medleys of Filipino hit songs Machong Papa, Sasakyan Kita, Bulaklak, Jumbo Hotdog, Pamela and Otso Otso.

TFC Popstar champion Carol Anne Leus sang Trust the Voice Within.

John Lloyd and Bea Alonzo performed hits from their TV soap opera It Might Be You and Now That I Have You.

Then all the stars came together to sing such hits as Pangako Sa yo, Saan Ka Man Naroon, Kay Tagal Hinintay, Bituin and Sana'y Wala Ng Wakas.

The concert ended with a tribute to Overseas Filipino Workers with the song Babalik Ka Rin.

The concert lasted for more than two hours. Just five minutes later, it began raining!
