Nicole's secret

Details of Nicole Saba's new single is under wraps

Lebanese artist Nicole Saba is all set to launch her new single but the sexy star is not saying a word about it. The details of the her new single are being kept under wraps — to surprise her fans.

Acting

But interestingly enough, Nicole, who starred in quite a few Egyptian movies, is open about her acting career.

For Ramadan, the singer will act for the first time on TV playing the lead role in Edd el-Nahar, directed by Ismael Abdul Hafez and written by Mohammad Safaa Amer.

Actor Salah Saadani will be her co-star and Nicole is now busy preparing her role.

But her hectic schedule doesn't keep her off the stage. On Valentine's Day, Nicole was singing love songs in a hotel in Cairo where she performed with Wael Kfouri.

Offers galore

She received four offers, two from pan Arab TV stations and two from Lebanese TV.

Joumana confirmed that she has received attractive offers and that she is studying them seriously.

Adding she will make a decision soon, she said that her relationship with Rotana remains the same.

Star of Ramadan riddles?

President of Egyptian TV, Raouiya Bayad, has put forward Lebanese singer Myriam Fares's name as the new star of Ramadan's riddles.

The musical programme titled Ouchack Al Leil (The night's lovers), is the story of a king who lives with a princess in an imaginary kingdom.

The princess tells him stories and riddles, which the viewers help to solve.

Bayad says that Fares has agreed to do it on condition that the riddles will be of a high standard.

Failure

The Ramadan's riddles had become a failure since Egyptian actress Sheryhan stopped filming them years ago because of her illness.

Egyptian TV tried unsuccessfully year after year to replace her with a number of artists until it decided to stop the show.

Highest paid singer

Lebanese diva Fairouz will sing at Ain Al Sokhna in Egypt on the occasion of Cham Al Nassim feast, which is celebrated this month.

Negotiations are still on for two more performances in Cairo and Alexandria. If everything goes well, the Lebanese diva will earn $2 million (Dh7.34million) for her three performances in Egypt.

This sum will make the Lebanese diva the highest paid singer in the Arab world. Fairouz performed recently in Damascus, Amman and Athens.
