Rumours fly thick and fast

What Potter fans think will happen in the sixth book.

Harry Potter is the heir of Gryffindor! No, wait, wait. Harry Potter is the grandchild of Dumbledore.

1. The half-blood prince is the new Defence Against the Dark Arts. Reason: a new DADA teacher is coming and a new character is joining the tale … duh!

2. Harry is part house-elf. Reason: His eyes are the same colour of green as Dobby's.

3. Fred or George Weasley will die. If not, it's half-giant Hagrid or Hogwarts headmaster Prof Dumbledore. Reason: Author J. K. Rowling said an important character will die.

4. Amelia Bones or Percy Weasley will be the new Minister of Magic. Reason: Rowling said Arthur Weasley isn't going to be, so these two are the most obvious candidates.

5. Harry discovers the way to defeat Voldemort is through Peter Pettigrew. Reason: Peter is indebted to Harry for saving his life.

6. Unrequited love for a girl is the reason for Prof Snape's animosity towards Sirius Black, Harry's godfather. Reason: Guys have been making idiots of themselves over women since Adam met Eve.

So there you have it. The most interesting and slightly over-the-top rumours that Potter-addicts can come up with.

As for me, I'd rather wait to curl up with the new book than think about what it could contain, or else people will definitely say I'm potty over Potter!
