tabloid! predicts tickets for Lauryn Hill will be selling like hot cakes
Tickets to see eight-time Grammy award winner Lauryn Hill performing in Dubai are expected to sell like hot cakes when they go on sale today.
The American hip hop and R'n'B singer is to headline the third Life Music Festival at Madinat Arena on July 5.
The star of The Fugees' hits Killing Me Softly and Ready or Not will be opened by Lebanese-born singer Karl Wolf (see interview on next page), DJ Danny Neville and DJ Bliss on the night.
Yassin Matbouly, managing director of event organisers Vibe Middle East, said Hill's music provided "compelling entertainment" with a serious message.
Exciting
"The Festival has built up a tremendous following and delivered some of the most exciting acts to hit Dubai this year," he said.
"We are expecting a fast sell out because Lauryn Hill would normally draw a 15,000 to 20,000 crowd but this indoor venue only accommodates 7,000."
Tickets for the show cost from Dh190 to Dh320 if bought before June 30, after which they will cost more. Visit any UAE Virgin Megastore or www.boxofficeme.com for details.
