Cute Emma a diva?

tabloid! wants to get to the heart of the debates currently raging in the entertainment world.

Each week, tabloid! editor Sonali Raha will pass her views on a hot topic and invite readers to comment.

Is Emma Watson, the teen best known for playing Hermione Granger in all the Harry Potter movies, becoming a diva? If so, will she survive in showbiz?

The latest piece of choice gossip caught in the web: Emma Watson is making diva-like demands. Apparently, says Bang Showbiz, she's now big time into complaining about work and arguing with film bosses.

David Yates, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix director, prefers to do around 30 takes to get everything just right. Emma reportedly asked him whether she was contractually obliged to do so many takes. He told her a very polite, but very firm, yes.

The teen actress then threatened to quit the Harry Potter series but was allegedly lured back with a £2 million (Dh15.07 million) contract to keep playing Hermione for the full seven films.

Isn't she too young — both in age and experience — to start calling the shots now? Admittedly, she has become a near-icon, riding on the back of a publishing phenomenon, but what happens when the seventh — and final — movie is over?

Will Emma still get roles then? Or will the other stars-in-the-wings — Dakota Fanning, Abigail Breslin, Emma Roberts etc — keep her firmly out of the spotlight?

In showbiz, where every little star makes impossible demands — Mrs Victoria Beckham apparently needs three private jets for a tour — a bit of attitude won't make her an outcast. It will all depend, finally, on how professional Emma is. And fighting with a director is not professional at all, even for a teen!

PS: To be fair to Emma, the star has said she uses her money for treats and chocolates. Her one proud possession is apparently her "little laptop". Very girl-next-door, right?

What the hell is your problem? Let her live her life as if she's a star. Why are you bothered?

Go stalk Paris, Nicole or Lindsay. Emma's a star and hence she should sometimes use it. You guys need to chill.

Harry Potter is big and so is the charactor played by Emma Watson. But why the starry tantrum? She's not that beautiful. She's a one-movie-wonder material. I do watch Harry Potter with my eyes wide open but the charactor played by Emma is overrated. Plus, she's too much of a plain Jane.

And as far as the starry diva tantrum is concerned ... maybe she is just trying to become like the rest of the "IT" girls like Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton. In which case, she will have to work on her looks.

Yeah, I know I'm ganging up against Emma but I have never liked her. I think even if she gets kicked out of the last two series of Harry Potter, it will not affect HP lovers. Not me, at least! But the character should not die — there are better choices for her character.
