Grand showdown at Sur Kshetra finale in Dubai

Music lovers from India and Pakistan were treated to the best from both worlds as the winner of SurKshetra, the music reality show that saw teams from the two countries battle it out, was crowned on Thursday night at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until December 29 to find out which team won the top prize.

The show also brought together celebrities from both sides with music greats including Esmail Darbar, Suresh Wadkar, Ghulam Ali and Sajjad Ali attending along with the jury Asha Bhosle, Abida Parveen and Runa Laila.

The evening opened with performances from the finalists – Diljaan, Yash Raj, Nabeel and Mulazim, along with performances by the mentors Himesh Reshammiya (Team India) and Atif Aslam (Team Pakistan) much to the delight of the crowd. Bangladeshi singing legend Laila also took to the stage to enthrall the audience.

Host and Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia kept the competition going as contestants faced-off over a medley of songs.
