Hundreds of engineering students happily graduate from Sharjah University
Four engineering batches graduated last week from the Etisalat University College (EUC) at the Sharjah University City Hall.
His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, presented the bachelor and master's degrees to 270 graduates from the college's 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th batches.
Dr Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, manager of Etisalat University College, said that the students' hard work and dedication finally paid off.
"The result has been hundreds of qualified Emirati engineers who have contributed towards building and developing the community," he said.
Dr Hamad Al Hamadi, assistant professor at EUC, gave the graduation speech and said that students have learned about engineering and about life.
He said: "You can learn engineering anywhere in the world, but life can be taught in only certain places. We've learned how to work for the development of our country and how to face life's challenges."
During the event, graduates heard testimonials from EUC alumni. A laser show was a highlight of the ceremony.
