Fool N Final: Dubai A Gangsta Paradise?

Last updated:

A comedy film showing Dubai as a city of gambling dens, gun runners and human traffickers is set to hit the silver screens here.

The latest Bollywood movie, Fool N Final, is said to have been cleared by the censors despite depicting Dubai in a negative light, as suggested by the plot summary found on movie websites.

The movie also has a scene that allegedly replicates the recent heist at a jewellery outlet at the Wafi City mall.

Speculation was rife that the movie could potentially create a furore and might end up getting heavily censored or even banned altogether.

However, the movie's local distributors, Al Nisr Films, confirmed that the movie has been approved for UAE release.

Ramesh Kumar Jashnani of Al Nisr Films said: "The movie was given the green signal by the censors after they watched it.

"It has been given General rating which means people of all age groups can watch it."

Censors cut a one-minute scene which inaccurately depicts the way the UAE national dress is worn, he added.

Despite several attempts XPRESS could not get a response from the Censorship Depart-ment of Dubai.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, the movie was shot in Dubai and Brazil and stars Sunny Deol, Shahid Kapoor, Johnny Lever, Jackie Shroff, Ayesha Takia, Viveik Oberoi and Paresh Rawal.
