Zayed University students awarded cash prizes for excellent design
Three Zayed University students are awarded cash prizes. Rania Al Hussaini reports
T hree interior design students from Zayed University won Excellence in Design prizes awarded by the Al Tayer Group. The award ceremony was held recently at the Aati showroom in Dubai.
The competition is part of Al Tayer Group's dedication to the emiratisation programme, Tawasul that was launched in 2003 and provides career breaks to UAE nationals from varied educational and professional backgrounds.
Aneesa Darwish Mubarak won the first prize, a gift voucher worth Dh10,000 from Azal and Ounass.
The two other finalists - Fatima Ahmad Matar Obaid Al Mehairi and Shaima Abdullah Mohammad Al Haj - received Azal and Ounass gift vouchers worth Dh6,000 and Dh4,000 respectively.
The winners had to design a sleeping/living space highlighting the principles of the Aati furniture showroom including colour, shade, material and space planning.
