Staff and students of Al Ain Women's College (AAWC) recently visited the Al Ain Rehab Centre and presented children and young adults with over 200 gifts and flowers. The centre is a local organisation that provides education and vocational training for youth with special needs. Money was also donated to purchase recreational equipment; Arlequin Catering donated 200 parcels of food.

The rehab centre helps students engage in many activities such as printing, electrical work, handicrafts and welding.

Throughout the event, students displayed an enthusiastic commitment. Many described the day as an "experience to remember".

"I feel very happy because this is the first visit to the school," said Salma Al Suwaidi. "I learned a lot about people with disabilities and how they learn and study."

"It was a nice experience because we felt the students were no different from us, and that's the most important thing," Hamda Al Waheibi added.

Eman Al Dowaila was very impressed and said the experience allowed her to truly treasure the value of life.

"I felt that there are people with us defying and challenging the difficulties," she said. "It really was a unique journey for me in life; I saw the happiness and the joy on their innocent faces."

Sana Al Hosani said: " I saw people with special needs of different ages and they were learning both theoretical and practical skills. I felt so comfortable with them and they were so happy to receive their gifts. I hope to visit them again."

The charity campaign concluded successfully, with AAWC donations putting smiles the faces of the special needs students.
