Bring on the Encore!

Stars from London's West End are staging a show in Dubai to celebrate songs from musicals through the years.

Encore — at the Madinat Theatre from October 28 to October 31 — will feature five leading performers singing numbers from The Phantom of the Opera and Chicago to Les Misérables and Miss Saigon.

With sensational voices and theatrical flair, the singers will be accompanied by a pianist and a cellist for the occasion.

On stage will be Earl Carpenter, who starred as Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, Ima Castro who has played Kim in Miss Saigon, and Anita Louise Combe who was seen as Velma Kelly in Chicago.

They will be joined by Peter Prentice, who starred as Freddy Eynsford-Hill in My Fair Lady, and Joanna Riding who played Eliza Dolittle in the same show and won the Olivier Award for Best Musical Actress 2003.
