This film's lacklustre script makes reality TV shows look superior

Cast Shahid Kapoor, Genelia D'Souza, Mohnish Behl, Parikshit Sahni
Director Ken Ghosh
Rating G
Sameer (Kapoor) is an aspiring actor juggling between odd jobs and attending auditions. He finally bags director Rajiv Sharma's (Behl) next film, but is dropped as the producers decide to launch a reality show to choose the film's hero. Disillusioned, Sameer talks to upcoming dance choreographer Tina (D'Souza) who motivates him to participate in the reality show.
The film begins on a promising note by depicting the actor's struggle to get a role, but once these scenes are over, the plot remains lacklustre. The sub-plot of Sameer teaching dance to school kids (a la Jack Black's School Of Rock), is treated amateurishly. There are some poignant moments, but too few to keep you involved in Sameer's struggle.
Kapoor delivers a sincere performance and will appeal to his die-hard fans. D'Souza delivers her usual spunky performance and shares good chemistry with Kapoor. Behl and Sahni play clichéd Bollywood characters to the hilt.
The film's highlight should have ideally been the dance sequences, but despite some decent choreography they don't quite strike you. Adnan Sami's mediocre music lacks the punch needed to create hit dance tracks.
