DATE FESTIVAL IN AJMAN

Ajman Department of Tourism Development is organizing the eighth edition of Liwa Ajman Dates and Honey Festival at the Emirates Hospitality Hall in Ajman from July 27-30, 2023. Attendees can look forward to the Juffair decoration workshop, the decoupage workshop on gypsum, and enthralling performances by the renowned Shaer band. The four days of the festival will also feature the lively popular show Medley, and palm grove and wicker dyeing workshops among other events. The festival features a variety of competitions, starting with the renowned Mazayna Dates competition, where the best dates are showcased and rewarded.

LAUGHTER FACTORY CALLS

The Selfdrive Laughter Factory is back with another series of amusing shows. See a line-up of world-class comics get behind the microphone to entertain you with their witty wisecracks and rib-tickling routines at Dukes The Palm on July 29 Laugh out loud with UK-based jokester Adam Bloom, known for his one-liners and hilarious observations. He’ll be joined by The Stand Up Show regular Micheal Fabbri and rising star Red Richardson. Tickets are Dh160.

DESI JAM NIGHT

BEAT THE HEAT SERIES

As part of Dubai Summer Surprises’ indoor concert series Beat the Heat, Egyptian rapper Afroto will be performing live at The Agenda on 29 July. He’s joined by Tunisan singer Balti and Sudanese rapper Soulja. Known for huge singles such as Brazil, Far2 Khebra and Msh Bel 7ozoz, Afroto has been steadily growing his fanbase around the world since 2016. Balti’s most recent hit, Dima Mechi, has proved a huge success, but you’ll likely be excited to hear his biggest tune Ya Lili.
