Visitors to the Abu Dhabi Jewellery and Watches 2017 exhibition will have the opportunity to view the largest emerald embedded stone which makes its appearance for the first time in Abu Dhabi. The event will be held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center until May 6, 2017.
This is the first time that the stone is being showcased outside Brazil. The gemstone weighs approximately 500 kilograms.
The gem laboratory reported it as emerald crystal embedded in mica Schist host rock, containing 170 plus carats of emerald, distributed among the 138 plus translucent to opaque variegated green to dark green prismatic hexagonal emerald crystals.
The crystals range in size from 230mm to 13mm excluding dozens of smaller crystals.
All visitors to Abu Dhabi Jewellery and Watches show can view this magnificent stone during the official opening hours of the event, from 4pm until 10pm.
