Happy Indian Independence Day! Indian food is some of the best, most fragrant and aromatic in the world. To celebrate this special day, here are some of our favourite colourful Indian dishes in Dubai. We guarantee that these pictures of Indian food will cause some serious cravings.

1. Mint Leaf of London's thali

Mint Leaf London

We love this colourfully beautiful dish. Served on a round platter with tasting portions of various vegetarian or non-vegetarian signature dishes, including Palak Paneer or the signature dish of Kashmiri cuisine, the delicious Lamb Rogan Josh, tender braised lamb cooked with a gravy based on onions or shallots, yoghurt, garlic, ginger complemented by aromatic spices such as cloves, bay leaves, cardamom and cinnamon. This dish is part of the Mint Leaf of London’s business dinner.

Great food doesn’t have to cost a lot at all. So if you are into street food, forget the fancy spots and head to Ravi in Al Barsha and Satwa. Just try the chicken mughlai at Ravi's.
