Ireland confirms Expo participation

DUBAI:

Ireland has confirmed its participation in Expo 2020 Dubai. Prime Minister Leo Varadkar confirmed its attendance in a letter to Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Higher Committee on World Expo 2020.

Ireland which is developing a strong fintech sector, ranks as the 10th most innovative country in the world in the Global Innovation Index 2017.

Shaikh Ahmad said, “Like the UAE, Ireland is a country which truly understands the value of innovation, so we are delighted to welcome them as the latest nation to formally announce their participation at Expo 2020 Dubai.”
