Dubai: The Dubai Expo 2020 aims to offer youth opportunities to tackle global challenges.

“Expo 2020 represents an opportunity to reach out to youth everywhere, giving them a voice, providing opportunities for them to become involved with challenges that are both fresh and meaningful; connecting them with others in different countries to discuss the issues that matter to them — employment, climate change, creativity, equality of opportunity and social reform,” said Reem Al Hashemi, UAE Minister of State, Board Representative of the Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee and Director General of the Bureau Dubai Expo 2020.

Speaking at the Host Cities conference in Dubai on Thursday, Al Hashemi said that the youth is looking for a number of things by the way of hosting an event, including “art, culture, music, rich engagement, participation over spectating, a greater range of ways to engage via new technology platforms, live experiences at accessible prices, and events that not only entertain but also innovate and inspire.”

“Expo 2020 Dubai intends to deliver on every one of these fronts, offering an unparalleled range of ways to experience, engage and participate across a wide spectrum of arts and cultural subjects, business and technology projects, social and environmental innovation areas,” she added.
