Police employee takes three months to craft logo
Dubai: A police employee has painstakingly crafted a logo comprising 5,000 seashells to show his support for the emirate’s Expo 2020 bid.
Pakistani Mohammad Nadeemul Hassan is head of the engineering drawing division at the engineering and projects department.
Hassan, who has worked for Dubai Police for the past 13 years, said that he made the Expo 2020 logo using 5,000 shells. He said the model is around one metre by one metre. “I have completed this model in three months. And I worked daily on the project. I used to go to the seaside to collect the seashells — it was very difficult to collect the small-size shells,” he said.
Hassan went with his family every day to collect the shells.
“I got great support from my department for this project,” he said.
“We want to be part of the event and to support this event as Dubai deserves to be the winner,” he said.
Hassan said he is excited to be part of the event and is looking forward to the announcement of the winner on Wednesday.
