From screens to charts: KPop Demon Hunters is the highest charting soundtrack of 2025

The animated film which released on June 20, continues to smash records

Dubai: Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters is on a roll!

Not only is the animated movie’s a big hit, the soundtrack is also on the rise on Billboard charts. The soundtrack from the movie, which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 charts last week, has now moved up to No. 3.

According to the Billboard 200 albums chart, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack has now become the highest charting soundtrack of 2025. “Previously among soundtracks in 2025, Wicked reached No. 4 high in January, after debuting and peaking at No. 2 in December 2024,” Billboard said.

The soundtrack also became the highest-charting soundtrack to an animated film since Encato hit No. 1 for nine weeks, in 2022.

KPop Demon Hunters, which premiered on Netflix on June 20, achieved another milestone as it became the biggest streaming week for a soundtrack, since Barbie in 2023.
