Today, the Malayalam film industry was plunged into a state of grief as they learned about the death of popular comedian and host Subi Suresh. She was in her early forties and succumbed to liver-related disease, according to reports emerging from Kerala. She was 41 and is survived her husband and young child. According to a report published on The News Minute, Suresh was battling jaundice, but her weak lungs made her treatment complicated.

But who was Subi Suresh? To put it simply, she was a dynamic comedian and television show host. Suresh, who studied in St Teresa's College in Kochi, was cracking on stage. Her easy humour and effortless charm made her popular with artists across Kerala.

Although details are still emerging about the exact nature of her death, Suresh -- who used to do multiple hosting and anchoring gigs at one time - suffered from liver-related ailments. In an old video uploaded by the artist on YouTube, she had opened up about her health battles. She had spoken up about how her constant assignments and life on the road had led her to ignore her health. She lamented about not eating her meals on time since she got pre-occupied with work.
