Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap will release online Tamil film Karma on September 16.
Produced by Creative Criminal, this thriller directed by R. Arvind will become the first Tamil feature film to see an online release.
Karma can be downloaded or streamed in HD quality to a laptop or PC and will be available in iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Video and more channels through pay per view mode.
Director Arvind says, “We believe this will pave a new way in the Tamil film industry and it will also motivate many young filmmakers. We are overwhelmed by the support shown by industry veterans on our initiative to release the movie online. It’s a new beginning to the future of Tamil Cinema.”
Along with Kashyap, several Tamil film celebrities will participate in the online launch with their tweets.
Karma was recently nominated at the Madrid International Film Festival for best director of a foreign language feature film and was also officially selected for Hollywood Sky Film Festival.
National award winning lyricist Vairamuthu has written and sung the title track of Karma. L. V. Ganesan has scored the music. V. B. Sivanandam is the cinematographer.
