For the vast majority out there, owning a supercar will always just remain a dream – but there are still some ways in making those dreams come true such as buying a replica but you have to be willing to lower your expectations a little, or in this instance, a lot… Sure, some replicas can look half decent while others can look like this monstrosity. Don’t stare at it for too long or you might catch whatever it has…

If you didn’t know, then this ‘Lamborghini Aventador’ is not actually the real thing. It is in fact based on a Pontiac, and not the commonly used Fiero either. This is the Holden Monaro-based, fifth-generation Pontiac GTO from 2004-2006 and it is doing a terrible job in hiding its American-built origins under all of that fiberglass.

The seller claims the total conversion (including the GTO) cost the owner $80,000 but we can't see where all that money went – it certainly did not go into the bodywork judging by that cracking fiberglass wing…

This certainly would not make anyone’s favourite five car list that is for sure, but, that doesn’t mean to say it doesn’t have anything at all going for it…

The stock GTO is a perfectly respectable performance car, but it would have serious trouble keeping up with the Aventador’s V12, but the seller has fixed this little issue; as per the eBay listing – which ended without finding a buyer (surprised?) the seller claims the car is packing a supercharged LS V8 which according to him makes 900 horsepower…

Indeed, images show a valve cover with a “900 HP” number which is around 220 more than a standard Aventador - but you can take that figure with the same pinch of salt as all of the other Lamborghini badges on the car.

It does have a bottle of “NOZ” for all you would-be racers out there but it also has an illuminated ‘check engine light’ which isn't good for any ad…

Although we doubt it has 900 horses, it may have enough power to put a smile on your face - not that it would last very long when you scan the interior... It features a sat-nav system, backup camera, fake carbon fibre inserts on the steering wheel and centre console, black and yellow leather and a removable roof that turns the car into a Roadster.

The fake Lambo panels only serve to draw attention, and we don’t mean in a good way, for those familiar with the Italian brand’s supercars.

"You will not see a better deal and this clean of a car anywhere," says the seller, who is asking for $33,750 for this poor old Pontiac. Guess what? We disagree. You can buy three brand-new and super ordinary Changan Alsvins for the same money – and even though you've probably never even heard of that car it, unlike this disaster, will keep your dignity in tact...
