Fans of the classic Eighties TV show Knight Rider will recall KITT, the black third-gen Trans Am - driven by Michael Knight - often soar through the air as the duo tried to catch the bad guys - and that stunt was repeated last week in Long Beach, California however, all of the skill and planning of stunt driving was replaced with sheer speed, a driver under the influence and a huge boulder. It got the same result - a car flying through the air...

Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the accident which was captured from multiple angles by a nearby surveillance camera. The car, a BMW M4, drove through a roundabout at high speed, hit the boulder which sent the German sportscar flying what appears to be at least 15 feet into the air and then smashed into a parked Mazda 3 upon landing. The force was so strong that it sent the 150kg boulder bouncing down the street. Not to be outdone, it hit a Chevrolet Camaro... Don't believe any of this? Hit play and see for yourself.

The 27-year-old driver, Marisela Ovalle, was not injured in the crash and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. She is being held on $30,000 bail.
