Dubai

I would like to highlight the parking issues in the Al Mankhool Area of Bur Dubai. There is a parking lot near the Al Rais Building, where a relative of mine resides. There is a supermarket in this building and despite the fact that it is a residential building, the parking is open to the public.

It just so happens that there has been a rise in pick-up trucks and loading trucks occupying the parking space in this lot, which not only creates issues for the residents to find parking for themselves, but is also inconvenient as the trucks require a large space as they are quite long and their rear end is usually in the way. This disrupts the flow of traffic and leads to motorists sounding their vehicles’ horns. It also creates difficulties for pedestrians.

There have been numerous and now regular instances where pick up truck drivers are parking their vehicles in the lot where not only are they denying the residents a parking spot, but due to the size of their vehicle it becomes difficult for us to manoeuvre.

I humbly request the authorities to look into the matter. I don’t have anything against them, but if they could have a dedicated space or open parking then it would not cause any harm to the residents around the vicinity.
