Residents who prefer to park in sandy lots in Al Qasimia area of Sharjah often find their vehicles blocked by others, according to Gulf News reader Heena Khan.
She said: "There is abundant parking in this area, but latecomers always park their
vehicles near residential buildings, without considering the fact that they may be blocking other cars. The photograph explains the situation of a family who was stuck for an hour! This is a daily occurrence." The community reporter urged motorists to be more responsible.
She said: "I believe it is not [up to the] authorities to handle this problem, but rather, it is the duty of every resident to park in the right place. If people are in a hurry, then the least they can do is leave their mobile number on the dashboard so those who are inconvenienced can call them."
