Dubai: Have you ever wanted to have a furry companion, but were unable to commit and adopt? If yes, then fostering is the answer. As the holiday period approaches, many of our rescued pets will find themselves homeless once again as boarding kennels can no longer shelter them as they have to make way for private pets whose owners have settled the fees entirely.

The rescue groups are also finding their boarding bills escalating beyond control and again need to find places for their animals, as well as finding a better solution than them being stuck in crates at the vet. Most of the groups do not have a shelter and rely on foster families to operate and enable them to save a pet.

Fostering is fundamental. It doesn’t matter if you are able to give a week or up to six weeks of your time. Likewise, if you are staying in the UAE for any period over the summer, you may be able to help a pet who is already with a foster family that needs to travel over this time.

Here is a small sample of pets desperate for a foster as their time is running out in boarding. For more listings, visit www.Adopt-Me.ae

Ollie

Ollie needs a foster home urgently! His time in boarding is up and his boarding venue has been very kind to let us keep him, and some others, there longer as no one came forth for any of the dogs needing to moved. Ollie is a fantastic dog. He is great with other canines and children. For more information about Ollie, click here or contact Animal Action on animal.action@hotmail.com or via their Facebook page.

Poor Lucy, really needs a foster home as soon as possible. For some strange reason, she keeps getting overlooked despite constantly attending adoption days. Lucy is a bit shy to start with but soon warms up and is a very affectionate dog who loves to curl up with you. She is great with cats and dogs and very good on her walks. Tommy

Tommy is a medium-sized dog. He is very sweet and is always very grateful for any attention. He needs a bit of work with socialisation within one’s own home as he can get a little jealous of other dogs or new people around his owners. We are happy to give guidance along the way to ensure he doesn't feel the same in a new foster home. For more information about Tommy, click here or contact Animal Action on animal.action@hotmail.com or via their Facebook page.

Fraggle

Fraggle is a wonderful, cute girl, who would dearly love to be with a family. She is a bit wary of young children though, so we would recommend a family with older children or adults only. Although, she is very good with children when in a social setting. For more information about Fraggle, click here or contact Animal Action on animal.action@hotmail.com or via their Facebook page.
