“I stopped using Air India years ago. They may be a couple of hundred dirhams cheaper, but I am prepared to shell out a few extra dirhams any day in exchange for better service and the assurance that I will be able to travel. I have been advising my friends and relatives too.”

From Mr Philip

Dubai

“I will be traveling to Kerala on October 7, and I hope Air India Express doesn’t cancel the flight. This issue is creating a lot of trouble. People who can afford to go with another airline have options, but what about those who get peanuts? They have no other option but to rely on Air India Express.”

From Mr V.J.

Abu Dhabi

“We use Air India regularly when en route to Mumbai and are extremely satisfied with the timings and inflight services.”

From a Reader

Abu Dhabi

“It is very unfair, childish, immature and unreasonable to blame Air India Express just because your flight was cancelled. The only reason people book Air India is so that they can save a few thousand dirhams. They do not love Air India or appreciate its services at all. When they get a cheap ticket from Air India Express they never appreciate it or thank anyone. The moment they get bumped off their flight or it gets cancelled, they start behaving like two-year-olds with runny noses; fretting, fuming and throwing tantrums. If people want to complain then they should pay a few thousand dirhams more and fly on another airline where they will not face last-minute hurdles.”

From Mr Dennis Arimpur

Abu Dhabi

“For many years every one of us has heard about the dramatic cancellation of Air India flights and the irresponsibility of the authority towards their passengers. I wonder why people are still depending on this carrier and making complaints. For the past 13 years I have been using other airlines and have never faced a delay or cancellation.”

From Mr Geo

Dubai

“People are to be blamed for this. For many years the carrier has been doing the same and still people use Air India and their subsidiary Air India Express. I strongly urge all people in the Gulf to use another carrier to save time. Remember time is more valuable than money. A request to other carriers, please increase your flights to the Kerala sector and provide a better price. You will surely get a bounty of profit.”
