For the last four years, I have been using a First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) credit card. I recently lost my job and submitted all documents as per their requirements for the credit shield insurance, on March 26.

They asked me to wait, as it would take 21 to 45 days for the insurance approval. Now that 45 days have finished, there has still been no response. When I called customer care, they said something else entirely.

If I make a complaint, they ask for two working days, then I receive an SMS stating that I’m not reachable, so my request has been closed. There is no more information. Please help me with this issue.

From Mr Nasar Muthu Muslimveettil

Sharjah

The management of FAB responds:

FAB supports the growth ambitions of its stakeholders and goes beyond financial products and services, and as such, we are grateful for all customer feedback as we strive to consistently deliver the highest standards of service. The bank has been in contact with Mr Muslimveettil via email, to state that as per the latest update by the insurance company, the claim is approved and the payment is under processing.

Mr Muslimveettil responds:

Thank you very much. Yesterday, I got an email claim that it has been approved from the insurance company. I am now waiting for the funds to be transferred.
