Unfair roaming charges

I have been using all etisalat facilities, including eLife, for more than 10 years, but they disappointed me this time when I went for a vacation to Pakistan. Before leaving the country, I confirmed with etisalat and was told that I have the global roaming facility. Therefore, before going to Pakistan I credited extra money to my account after paying what was due, which was showing as Dh50 per month for 50 flexible minutes for the local package on their mobile app. Upon using internet in Pakistan, I noted that etisalat started charging me for data and I noted that the app was showing data usage charges that reached up to Dh200 in 10 days. I removed the Sim card from my phone and upon arrival, registered a complaint with etisalat. But I found it strange to be told that the amount would not be refunded. I was told that there was no package activated for me and even if I made another complaint it would have the same result — rejection. I hope that Gulf News will help me and solve the issue.

Thank you Gulf News, for helping resolve the issue that I have had with etisalat for months.
