I had booked a two-way ticket online with Spice Jet, from Dubai to India and had to eventually cancel my ticket, which was done on December 3, 2014, by visiting Spice Jet’s office in Dubai.

I was informed that an amount of Dh284 has already been deducted as cancellation fees and a further Dh713.50 would be reimbursed to my bank account within 10 days from the date of cancellation. To my surprise, even now, no progress has been made regarding this matter.

I booked the ticket through my credit card and now that time is running up, it seems like I will end up paying interest every month for the same to my bank, because of the delay caused. Spice Jet has not even responded to any of my emails so far.

Can Gulf News please guide me through this matter to sort it out?

From Mr Adarsh Ninan

Dubai

The management of Spice Jet responds:

This is with reference to Gulf News’ correspondence regarding a refund.

Please note that as per our record, an amount of Dh713.50, dated December 18, 2014, has already been refunded to the same account.

We urge the customer to kindly check with the concerned bank for refund claims. If the same is not received, then, kindly share the bank’s statement from Dec 18, 2014 till date, so we may check and assist accordingly.

We assure our customers of our best attention at all times.

Mr Ninan responds:

I do confirm that I have received the amount.
