Please return my security deposit

I am raising this issue with Gulf News after I failed to get it resolved and was unable to recover my security deposit of Dh2,000, which I gave to etisalat as roaming deposit.

I requested etisalat to give back my deposit in February, 2015. I disconnected my mobile number in April, 2015 and have been following up with etisalat by emails as well as visits to their centre on Shaikh Zayed Road in Dubai.

I was told that it is an IT issue and it has been months but the IT department has not been able to resolve it and finance has not been able to reconcile my small security deposit.

I am just requesting them to pay back the money that I had kept as deposit and nothing else. I am deeply disappointed and don’t know how I can claim these funds from them.

The management of etisalat responds:

Customer was refunded with the deposit of Dh2,000 on his account and after the deduction of the last invoice the total amount left was Dh1,750.76. The customer later asked to transfer this amount to another account under his name, which was done successfully. The customer was contacted and informed.
