Missing phone

My complaint is regarding Jet Airways. I travelled with the airline from Dubai to New Delhi, India, on July 31. Once in Delhi, as I unpacked my bag, I realised that a new mobile phone in a sealed pack was missing from my checked-in baggage. I sent them an email on August 7, to which they have yet to reply. Can Gulf News do something to help?

From Mr S. Das

Dubai

A spokesperson from Jet Airways responds:

Following the complaint from the guest, we have carried out investigations at the Delhi and Dubai airports and found no discrepancy during the handling of the baggage of the said flight.

As practice, guests are advised not to carry cash or valuables in their check-in baggage. Jet Airways regrets any inconvenience caused to the guest.

Mr Das responds:

I do not find the reply from Jet Airways as a satisfactory closure to the case. My grievance has not been resolved and I want to put this on record that I will definitely think twice before I decide to travel by this airline ever again.
