I had an NBAD (National Bank of Abu Dhabi now called First Abu Dhabi Bank, FAB) credit card. I have lost my job and applied for insurance (credit shield). And it’s approved. The insurance is paying the monthly installment however the bank keeps on charging me interest and harassing me for payment. Basically the bank wants to receive payment from my side and from insurance at the same time. Since four months, insurance was approved. As per my knowledge once insurance is approved, the interest will stop and I am no longer eligible to pay until I find a new job. The bank doesn’t want to cooperate and insisting on getting payment from me and from insurance (double payment). I urge your help as I couldn’t find any cooperation from the bank.
