Change of due date

Is there a way to request for a change of due date for personal loan payment? I just received an approved loan and the first payment was due on August 28. The problem is that my salary is either credited on the 28th or 29th of every month. I would truly appreciate it if Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) could arrange to change the due date to the first of the month, so that I am sure I will be able to pay the loan on time and avoid late payment penalties. I already requested this at the branch where I had applied for the loan, and the representative said that there was no other way. I hope to hear a positive response soon.

From Ms Ann Azucena

Dubai

The management of Dubai Islamic Bank responds:

We would like to confirm that our service team has been in touch with Ms Azucena, inviting her to visit the bank and sign the documents in order to change the payment’s due date. However, the customer mentioned that she no longer requires rescheduling of her instalment payments. Instead, Ms Azucena will keep a sufficient balance in her account to meet the payment date and avoid any late payment charges in the future.

As such, the bank considers the case to be closed and is pleased that this has been resolved while ensuring the customer’s satisfaction. At DIB, we always advise our customers to make sure they have sufficient funds in their bank account to avoid any late payment charges. DIB’s customer service team is available to address any concerns and advise on the services that would best meet their individual needs.

(Process initiation: July 19. Response from organisation: September 30.)
