DUBAI: After a year-and-a-half hiatus, UAE’s longest serving Radio Jockey, Sobia Khan, is back on the air waves.

“I am happy I will again get to do what I do best – entertaining my fans. It’s like a dream come true and I am feeling the adrenaline rush all over again,” Sobia said ahead of her first evening show on the newly-launched Hindi station Jio 100.3 FM.

The veteran RJ wowed listeners on the country’s oldest radio station, Hum FM 106.2 from 1998-2016 before it was acquired by Indian conglomerate Zee Entertainment Enterprises and renamed Big FM.

New beginning

“I thought it was the end of the road for me but it looks like I am destined not to hang up my boots anytime soon,” said Sobia, who will be hosting The Sobia Khan Show from 4pm to 8pm on weekdays.

“I am grateful to the Jio management for giving me this opportunity. I hope I am able to live up to the faith they have reposed in me,” said Sobia. Jio 100.3 operates out of Ummal Quwain.
