What is Yas Movies in the Park all about?
It is an exciting concept where popular movies like Grease, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Jurassic Park and Finding Nemo will be screened at Yas Park during weekends for free. No matter how many times you have watched these timeless hits, watching them on a large outdoor screen with your loved ones is a totally different experience.
Bollywood movies are more popular in the UAE than perhaps any other country outside India. What do you think could be the reason?
That’s primarily because people from the sub-continent constitute a major chunk of the UAE’s population. Bollywood has had a long-lasting relationship with the UAE so much so that even native Arabic speakers love our movies.
When can we expect Dabbang 3?
We will start shooting sometime this year. I reckon it will hit the screens in 2019. I can tell you Dabbang 3 will be the best movie of the series.
Do you feel weighed down by the burden of expectations considering you come from a family of stars?
There is a certain amount of recognition and acceptability that comes with the territory. But post that, you have to make your own mark. There is also added responsibility if you have a famous sibling or a father from the same industry.
What are upcoming projects ventures?
I have two releases (as an actor) this year, Jack and Dil and Coming Back. And then of course, there is Dabbang 3 as producer.
