How do you manage a full time job and a business?

I am a banker during the day. I switch to my creative side post work. The make-up bookings are usually in the evenings.

How do you see the landscape evolving in the region when it comes to make-up?

The number of talented make-up artists is fast increasing. Middle Eastern women have always appreciated beauty and the rise of social media has only helped to expose their talent. This will continue to develop and lead to the expansion of the industry.

Who are your favourite make-up artists, and what are the products you swear by?

Tamanna from Dress Your Face, USA is a talented artist with innovative techniques and styles. Unlike many out there, she’s an educator which gives her credibility. In terms of products, Make Up Forever is my most preferred choice.

What is the message that you would give to upcoming make-up artists?

This is a rewarding industry with great potential and diversity. Do what you love, push yourself to break the glass ceiling, don’t be deterred by criticism and use it constructively.

Are you looking to launch products under your brand name?

I am working on some plans and hopefully will be able to achieve the results I can be proud of.

Tell us your most loved spots in the city

I spend a bit of time at Riva Beach and Atlantis, which is amazing for kids. PF Changs is my favourite restaurant.
