Californian rapper Kid Ink, who is due to perform in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on August 28 and 29, was arrested this weekend in Las Vegas for “disturbing the peace”, reported TMZ.
He was said to have been released on Saturday afternoon, without bail. He is due to appear in court on Monday.
Kid Ink, lesser known by his given name Brian Collins, was in Las Vegas to perform at the 1Oak nightclub when police were alerted of a fight that had broken out. According to TMZ, police arrived at the scene sometime before 3am. The website cites several eyewitnesses who claim that Kid Ink’s “female friend” started the scuffle, and that she was acting “belligerent”. Reports also suggest that when Kid Ink and his friend were confronted by security, things became physical.
Kid Ink was reportedly arrested for disturbing the peace while his friend was arrested for giving officers a false statement.
The rapper performed in a nightclub in Dubai in February.
