Texas and Alan Rickman in new video for song

In 2000, Sharleen Spiteri, the lead singer of the band Texas, danced the tango with Alan Rickman in the video for the song In Demand.

The video, which told the tale of two escaped celebrities, involved a mildly salacious scene centring around petrol pump. Now, the singer and actor are reviving their relationship in the video for the new song Start a Family.

As its title suggests, the mood of the video is a little more mature — so much so that it includes a spoken-word performance by Rickman, who breaks into momentary song at the end.

Start a Family is one of the four new tracks featured on the Scottish group’s 25th anniversary release, Texas 25.
